7401: Quad 2-Input NAND Gate (Open-Collector Output)
All four positive-logic NAND gates may be used independently. On any one gate, with either input low the output is driven to an open circuit. When both are high, the output is low. An output-high state can be obtained only by adding an external resistor, usually 2.2K, from output to +5 volts.
The pinouts on the 7401 are different from the logically similar 7400 and 7403.
